presentation vof the CSR quality mark on the management of Edumar Metalworking: mr. M. Wijlaars, C. Tielen (initiator) and E. Wijlaars.

The CSR Quality Mark Committee has been informed that the first organization from Someren has achieved a satisfactory score on the ISO 26000 standard. Newcomer Edumar Metaalwerking scored above average, as did Victor & Wijtman, astonishing the committee led by Peter van Duijn. The signatures can be placed, the definitive registration has now taken place: Edumar Metaalwerking can call itself holder of the CSR Quality Mark – ISO 26000.

The feedback of this score will therefore be discussed in detail at the upcoming CSR Quality Mark Committee meeting. The news was shared by telephone in the evenings, because this score is in fact special. The initial CSR Quality Mark inspection is particularly experienced as difficult by SMEs and often points are already spilled during the first part 'General'. That systematic CSR Policy of the organization at 1.3 is a hard requirement. Inspectors who face a completely defined CSR Policy want this to be clear and unambiguous, of the 4 score points, 1 or 2 are often spilled.

It turned out to be the kick-off in which Edumar was already very strong, the full score was noted. The organization remained unbeaten well into the People section. Consultant Bogers therefore noted that Van der Werff gave him a high score, but Van der Werff was extremely pünktlich: 'The organization often not only demonstrated CSR in practice, the origin even went back to the genes from '95, then I can only award several points.'

This conclusion was maintained several times, which meant that Edumar as an organization could already count itself semi-safe after General, People & Planet: the minimum score of 70.0 on the ISO 26000 standard was almost within reach. However, the organization went further, overruling the laws of the initial audit and breaking the 80.0 barrier, after which the 90.0 barrier was also allowed to be broken. The exact score is known to Edumar, the fact is that the Keurmerk holders who match this can be counted on one hand.

The CSR Quality Mark Committee therefore conveys its heartfelt congratulations to the entire team of Edumar Metalworking with obtaining the CSR Quality Mark in accordance with ISO 26000. Dealing responsibly with CSR and putting it into practice is to be commended, this organization deserves this Quality Mark at least full.
