Owners Raymond and Sebastiaan celebrate success: the CSR Quality Mark – ISO 26000 has been acquired!

The CSR Quality Mark Committee has been informed that Schoon Westland from Naaldwijk has successfully passed the ISO 26000 assessment. A generous score was set for a first assessment, whereby the review by Peter van Duijn and the entire committee turned out to be a formality. The signatures have been made and the registration is final: Schoon Westland can call itself a CSR Quality Mark holder in accordance with ISO 26000. A great achievement for the young organisation:

This was preceded by a long preparation as well as an extensive inspection. Schoon Westland arose from a merger of two cleaning companies, which resulted in the management having to pay a lot of attention to communicating its vision on the work floor. Individual interviews, the personnel manual, measurements and quality formed the basis.

This conversion into practice is referred to by Schoon Westland as 'converting to sustainable performance and relationships'. And it was precisely there that inspector Van der Werff saw the organization's CSR policy deepened. Not only on paper, but also in practice. Not just a loose slogan like so many organizations, but also really converting it into practical, provable implementation across the board of the 3 P's. So that CSR does not become a separate issue, but an overarching issue of the entire organisation.

An established collaboration with Patijnenburg could therefore result in the fact that both people with disabilities and migrants are successfully deployed. So-called 'social talks' are systematically held with the staff, kept up to date, but also provided with a training wish, where possible Schoon Westland helps its staff further up the labor ladder.

In the field of Planet, the CO2 footprint proved to be an example for the facilities sector. Emissions are well below the industry average, and of course measures such as solar panels contribute to this. To add something nice to that. Selecting local companies for sustainable procurement has a nice alliteration: 'Westland works with Westland.'

A high score as a result of a satisfaction survey after the merger, the support for social initiatives and other matters in the Profit component were allowed to complete the score. The MVO quality mark is more than deserved for Raymond, Sebastiaan and the entire team of (Schoon) Westland!

From here on, the CSR Quality Mark Committee conveys its heartfelt congratulations to the Schoon Westland team on obtaining the CSR Quality Mark in accordance with ISO 26000.
